I wasn't very pleased with my First After Burner pic so I took a 2nd go at it. This time I started from scratch and didn't really take much from the original pic.

yes I did catch Tron over Easter

I'm not old enough to have seen it originally and I keep missing all the re-runs. One day I will catch it or bug one of my friends till they lend it to me!

its one of those films that always seems to get shown around the holidays so I'd say just keep your eyes open or look in the discount bin at any store

Hmm yeah? I'll have to keep a look out for it then.

Meh that could work too.

Thanks!

Well, it doesn't really channel G1 Afterburner to me, but you do get major points for equating Afterburner with a Tron lightcycle! :)

You say it the inspiration for the color scheme comes from Tron? It honestly reminded me more of Phantasy Star Online. But awesome job man. Nice colors, great original mold as usual.

You should give it a looksee. The Cast (mecha) designs are pretty cool, you might get somewhat inspired by them as well.

I've played Phantasy Star since the SEGA Master System, and when it went Online and stopped being a traditional console-style RPG i was kinda let down, but as i came to realize it was not such a bad thing, and i got quite hooked in it. Anyway, back on topic, SEGA really did a great job in the CAST design, especially if you choose to ignore the human-like faces.
