This is a year old but I can't help wanting to comment on it.
I love the design and it's so interesting because he does have more of a service vehicle feel here for sure. I don't recall any times I've seen any TF artists take advantage or use windows in a creative way and I'm loving it so much. So, a pretty successful concept and really nice making him feel more naturally car origined vs a lot of the mangled toaster images that have been exposed over the years.
There are a lot of great things about this design. LOVE the tools tucked into slots at his waist. LOVE the design of his lower leg. I've never seen a window down by the foot, but it just looks COOL. LOVE the windshield up behind his head -- nice shout out to the old G1 wtf mode, but makes it work. I'm not a fan of his beardy face, but that's just me. Your TF designs are always top-notch! You're one of the few artists who designs them from the ground up, with folding engineering figured out. Rock on.
Ah the G-wagon, your right on the "not in your face like a Hummer" comment. You dont see em much here in the states. I love the overall design, reminds me of the G1 series toys and the way he keeps his tools at his side. Dont list to those other guys, i love it great job and cant wait to see the alternate mode.
Hmmm. I can't say I'm quite thrilled with this one. For one, his rifle is extremely thin. I don't quite dig the face either... To me, it looks like Hot Rod is wearing a disguise. The partial glass panel under his heel doesn't sit well with me either. I know he is made of alien alloys and all, but...
Aside from that, this one is up to par with your level of quality. The detail, line work, and thoughtful arrangement of pieces and parts is all there. Well done.
